The strange thing I noticed is, that during this outage, the proxmox server is pingable.

So, I run a Proxmox Server at home and for unexplainable reasons I can no longer reach the web interface.

I followed the official guide for installing proxmox in debian 9, but i cant connect to the web interface.

Ive also found it a bit cumbersome to work with and doesnt really add any utility to the vnc session over the old UI using the toolbar at the top of the screen that I can tell.

After that, I shutdown the VM through the Proxmox Web UI, and then started it again.

After restoring on the the new box using the web interface to select the backups and clicking on Restore the containers are there and running but not visible in the web interface.
